Underground or underground? Here's how to get around London

London: a great city famous for its ancient history, its lively nightlife, its rich blend of international culture, its food, the fog and its great London Eye. Visitors who want to make the most of their stay in the capital of the UK will have to find a way to get around, but there are many transport options for the traveling tourist.

Unfortunately, walking will not take you far in London. The city stretches over 609 square miles, and unless you plan to visit only a very small area, using your two legs alone will not be enough.

For fitness fans, using a bike to get around can be an option. It's clean, cheap and good for you, but you'll have to deal with London drivers, heavy traffic and possibly heavy rain. There are certain areas of the city that are ideal for exploring by bike, such as trails along the River Thames, the canals, the Lee Valley and of course the many parks in London, but as a general transport solution for the causal tourist, just the right and brave who must be used.
